Welcome Back! 09/04/2009
What a great week! It was wonderful to see the students after summer vacation and especially to hear them play their instruments. It's amazing to see all of their cases sitting in the hallway! The 4th graders were thrilled to receive their instruments. The 5th graders had an opportunity to play together as a band this week. I look forward to their growth as an ensemble. It's time to think about joining the 4th Grade Band for next school year! I am so excited for the concerts that are coming soon (Arts Night on May 27 and the 4th Grade Band Concert on June 10!) On Tuesday, October 28, Chickering School held its first Community Share and it was a great success! Each student that participated did an outstanding job and it was wonderful to see the talent that makes up our community! There are many exciting things happening in the Chickering Music Department and one of them is the creation of a new interactive website where students can access sound clips and videos from home!
